Soapnuts are called ‘Rittha’ in Nepali and aren’t really nuts at all, but the dried shells of the soapberry that contain a natural soap called saponin that make mild, gentle suds and are a 100% natural alternative to chemical detergents. The highest quality soapnut is Sapindus Mukorossi, growing primarily in Nepal and northern India. Our soapnuts come from the lower tarai forest of Nepal. |
