PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL FOR MORE INFORMATION These unique rugs in 100% Wild Himalayan Nettle are hand knotted in small family workshops in Nepal and feature 60 knots per inch – no wool is used in their manufacture and so are suitable for vegans. They are very hard wearing as well as soft underfoot, and so suitable for all living areas or bedroom, where they will blend in with any décor. This is our smallest size rug - put it by your bedside and look forward to stepping out of bed in the morning! Growing wild in the eastern hills of Nepal between 1200 and 3000 metres, the Himalayan Giant Nettle has been used for generations around homesteads in Nepal to make fishing nets, ropes, mats, sacks, bags and waistcoats. Nettle grows wild in Nepal as part of the undergrowth in forests - and because it grows wild the nettle is naturally organic. Naturally mildew and moth resistant, vacuum your eco-friendly rug regularly to keep it in top condition. Please consult a specialist rug cleaner when your rug does need cleaning. 60 knot - Did you know it takes two and a half months for one weaver to make a handknotted 60 knots rug of two metre square.
