Be stylish and eco-friendly when you wear this strong hemp-cotton hat for gardening at home or on your allotment, or out and about.  Attractive herringbone pattern with woven hemp trim and an inner trim of twisted black, red and natural hemp.  50% hemp and 50% cotton, lined in cotton.

This hat has a wired rim enabling it to be folded, and you can adjust the rim to the shape you want – keep the sun off, pull the rim down – get too hot, bend the rim up!  Keeps your head cosy and dry in light showers too. With four rows of stitching on the brim for extra strength.

Hemp is a wonderful plant. It springs up from seed in only 120 days eliminating the need for chemical fertilisers and herbicides. Is naturally pest-free so does not need pesticides.  Hemp thrives in over-fertilised and arid regions and actually leaves the soil in better condition than before.

Hemp has naturally long fibres, preventing stretching, and makes wonderful fabric and can be spun to different widths and mixed with other natural fibres for a vast array of different looks. It softens with use yet remains hardwearing

Hemp fibres are porous so hemp keeps you cool in summer and yet in winter the same cloth retains heat.  Hemp is also naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial. Importantly, it does not need vast amounts of water to grow.  Hemp is an earth-friendly crop!

Bought this to keep the sun off during a hiking trip. It's a good quality product for the price - very well made. Also the rim bends to whatever shape
you wish which is handy.
