These wonderful indoor slippers are made by hand in Kathmandu.
The hemp fabric used to make these beautiful slipper grows wild in Nepal's middle hills and is harvested, processed and woven by hand using tradtional techniques.
The uppers are made from hemp and multi-coloured recycled silk, and were made in our workshop on a hand loom. The soles are one hundred per cent Nepali hemp, with diamond stitching for strength and a jute and cotton padding for comfort.
The hemp used in these slippers is harvested, hand processed and hand spun in the hills of Nepal - we buy for a fair price from farmers who produce this amazing yarn and fabric to supplement their household income, often spinning and weaving in the evenings.
